TITLE:  Basic Photography

Credit Hours: 3
Description: AR116 Basic Photography. 3 hours. Basics of photography, including the history and philosophy of photography as an art medium. Instruction includes the use of the 35mm single-lens reflex camera, film and lens selection, black and white darkroom techniques, natural and artificial lighting, composition, and presentational methods. A lab fee is assessed; students are responsible for purchasing their own supplies. Students will be responsible for all film and processing costs. Students need access to a single-lens reflex camera (not a point-and-shoot.) Fulfills "Fine Arts" requirements. Fall.
